Good afternoon! It’s been a while since I wrote my “weekly” blog!!! So apologies for my absence!
So much has happened that I don’t know where to start so I will just give you a brief run-down of the main events.
School summer holidays. As we all know it is hard to maintain a regular routine during the six or so weeks of the summer holiday, and things are no different here! Trying to keep on top of The PlayBag stuff as well as the house, and children has proven to be quite a challenge! However, it has been a blast and I have loved spending time with the family – although it has all passed far too quickly! One down side of this is that my attention has been seriously diverted from keeping on top of social media and other routine business type things. (I have just this morning got back on top of my accounts! Oops!).However, I am back now thoroughly refreshed and ready to roll!
On the recommendation of the lovely Marie from Daisy First Aid who I met at the recent Baby and Toddler Show in Northampton, I have just invested in the book by Claire Mitchell “S.O.S: A Business Mum’s Survival Guide for the School Holidays”. Looking forward to that landing on my doorstep so hopefully I won’t get so far behind again!! Which brings me to……
Northampton Baby and Toddler Show. We had such an amazing day at the Show. I can find it a little isolating in my little office/workroom, so it was lovely to get out and about and meet the people that really matter! It was very reaffirming to hear all your feedback – so much that it has inspired me to start up a suggestions board in the office. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out the feedback form. The day also reminded me how very lucky I am to have my daughter to support me. I don’t think I could have done it all without her.
Our new Autumn/Winter collection. At the show we also launched our PlayBags in the new Autumn/Winter fabrics - from warming oranges and reds, to cooler greens and grey. These are all now available in the online shop. Along with……..
Viga Wooden Toys. Although I always wanted to leave the PlayBags quite open to interpretation, many of you had said that you would like some toys to go along with the PlayBags, so we decided to give the option of some little wooden toys that can be purchased with the PlayBag, making it a more “complete” package. We are currently just stocking a few to see how the response is so we will keep you posted should we decide to expand the range.
Please do leave a comment if there is anything else you would like to see in the shop and I will add it to my suggestions board. :)
